Welcome to First United Methodist Church of Shelton!
I’m ______, the pastor of First UMC Shelton. I came to this church about a year and a half ago and have become very appreciative of the people here and the ministry they provide.
If you have not already done so, I hope that you will join us for worship, the center of our life together, either in person or through our live stream or recorded services.
The best way to get to know a congregation is by just jumping in and participating in its activities, but we certainly welcome you to just dabble around the edges if you are more comfortable taking things more slowly. In either case, know that you are welcome to participate fully in our ministries in whatever way is most comfortable for you.
We even invite you to begin new ministries if you are feeling called to lead us in some new directions. Now that the congregation and I have gotten to know each other, I’m looking forward to helping us discern the next steps in our life together.
We have a small but dedicated congregation and a wonderful, well-maintained physical plant. How is God calling us to use these in the years ahead in the community where we live?
